Travel vaccination

Please note that the travel vaccinations available at the practice are:  Tetanus, diptheria, polio, hepatitis A, and typhoid.

Please notify the practice that you require travel vaccines in good time to ensure that an appointment can be given 8 weeks before you travel.
This will give the practice sufficient time to order the vaccine, and for the vaccine to take full effect.

Process for requesting vaccines for travel

Contact a travel clinic for advice on the vaccinations you require. There may be a charge for this initial consultation.
Please see the links below for information on travel clinics in the local area.

Please share the vaccine information with the practice. For the vaccines that you require that are available in practice, an appointment will be arranged with one of our Practice Nurses.

For the vaccines that are not available on the NHS, please contact a travel clinic to arrange for these vaccinations to be administered.

You can find out more background from the NHS Travel website but please note we are not responsible for information on this site and you should speak to our nurse before travelling.

If you have a fear of flying please read this useful information on possible help.
